The report states that the economy crises in the country and introduction of new regulations on the import of road motor vehicles resulted that 85.0 percent of cars are older than 13 years.

“A total of 245,086 cars use gasoline, which amounts to 23.27 percent and 746,029 cars use diesel, which amounts to 72.07 percent,” the report reads, adding that the number of vehicles using alternative fuels has increased significantly and now amounts to more than 4.5 percent of the total number of vehicles in BiH.

The report states that there are 916,699 personal vehicles, and the highest number is in Canton Sarajevo, a total of 134,191.

For the first time, 89,110 vehicles were registered which amounts 8.37 percent of the total number, and by comparing data from 2017, it is evident that the number of newly registered vehicles increased by 13,989 vehicles, or by 18.62 percent.

By analyzing and comparing data on registered motor vehicles in BiH in 2018 with data from the previous five years, the number of registered vehicles increased by 18.84 percent, the report concludes.
