A large number of pilgrims, some from Bosnia and Herzegovina, some from abroad, made a pilgrimage and prayed for their homeland today at the remains of the royal city of Bobovac near Vareš.

In addition to members of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese, members of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the police also took part in the pilgrimage to Bobovac. The mass celebration was led by Archbishop Tomo Vukšić, together with the military bishop in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The prayer trip to Bobovac was started in 2002 by the Archbishop of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljić in memory of the Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosača, who died in exile in Rome on October 25, 1478.

Traditionally, Bobovac is visited by believers from all the parishes in BiH and abroad.
