FC Zeljeznicar informed their fans, members, sponsors and friends of the club that, after they ensure the formal legal requirements, in April will start and by the end of this year will complete the first phase of construction of the East Stand of Grbavica Stadium.
Public announcement for offers will be published on the official website of the club until the 10th of April 2016. The second phase of construction the East Stand will include additional stand with the same capacity and coverage of the stands.
This way, FC Zeljeznicar will officially start construction of the new stadium, because the newly built stands will be compatible and in accordance with the conceptual design of the new stadium Grbavica. Upon completion of the first phase of construction, the capacity of the stands will be 2850 seats. After completion of the East Stand, the total capacity of the stadium Grbavica will be 11,995 seats.
Sources of funding are own funds of the club, sponsors funds and support of fans through different projects,” as stated from the club.
The project “Buy a chair for European Grbavica” showed true potential of fans of this club and this fact is the main reason why the club wants to make an additional step forward.

The construction of the East Stand will ensure the conditions for playing of representative matches of all selections at Grbavica Stadium. This way, planned investment is beyond the scope of needs of FC Zeljeznicar and becomes general interest because it represents a socially responsible initiative. There is no doubt that the desire of all football fans in BiH and the world is to get to see some matches of national teams played at the Grbavica Stadium.
