The Appellate Court rejected the appeal of the Handball Federation of BiH to the decision of the European Handball Federation (EHF) with which our national team lost the placement for the World Championships because the match was registered with a score 10: 0 in favour of the National team of Switzerland.

The Handball Federation of BiH has 21 days to send another appeal to the Arbitration Court of EHF.

The EHF announced a decision on the protests of the Handball Federation of Switzerland on February 16. Thanks to this decision, BiH was left without placement at the World Championships because the match was registered with the score 10: 0 in favour of the National team of Switzerland.

To recall, the problem appeared when the player of the National Team of BiH Tomislav Nuic entered the list of scorers. The scout established that Nuic is not included on the main list of players that was signed by the delegate of the match, Darko Repines from Slovenia. Therefore, Nuic got a red card and he was automatically excluded from the match.

Representatives of the Handball Federation of BiH immediately reacted and it was established that a mistake was made by Slovenian delegate who did not enter the name of Tomislav Nuic during the technical meeting when the official record was made.

Representatives of Switzerland thought that the result achieved in the field should be neglected, regardless of the fact that representatives of the National team of BiH made no mistake, and even after the delegate accepted his mistake.

BiH won against Switzerland in Tuzla with the result 21:15.
