A reception on the occasion of the Statehood Day of BiH was held in the premises of the Embassy of BiH in Canberra. Hosts were the Ambassador Bakir Sadović and his wife Merdijana Sadović.

The majority of guests at the reception were members of the diplomatic core from Canberra, the capital of Australia. After a short speech by the Ambassador Sadović about the history of the Statehood Day, the guests had the opportunity to see an exhibition of stećaks, the witnesses to Bosnian statehood older than one thousand years. Stećaks, which are on the list of monuments of culture and protected by UNESCO, were presented in their original shape on big screen in a video. This representative exhibition of stećaks was financed by Džemila Talić Gabriel. All guests enjoyed delicious Bosnian food.

At the same time, this was a farewell reception, since Bakir Sadović leaves for a new diplomatic mission in January next year.
