The ceremony at the House of B&H Armed Forces made official the start of the training for the 30 most successful, highly educated young candidates, who have applied for the admission to the officer’s corps of B&H Armed Forces.
This is the first group of participants, who have been selected after a rigorous and demanding selection process, meaning verifying psycho – physical and intellectual abilities, and within the pilot project “Basic training for officers”, which is being implemented with the support of the UK government or the British Embassy in B&H -Office of Military Attache, and in cooperation with NATO Headquarters and the EUFOR Command.
The Deputy Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces (NATO) in Europe (DSACEUR), and the Operational Commander of EUFOR operation “Althea”, British General Sir Richard Shirreff greeted the participants of the ceremony, and pointed out the importance of establishing a model of selection and training of officers of the B&H Armed Forces to provide equal opportunities for all in a fully transparent and equitable manner.
