Global oil prices fell by more than three percent today, following a third consecutive day of talks involving Iranian and Qatari officials – discussions aimed at reaching an agreement to end the conflict between the U.S. and Israel on one side, and Iran on the other.
In London, the price of North Sea Brent crude dropped by $3.68, or 3.2 percent, to $109.75 per barrel.
In New York, the price of light crude oil fell by $3.43, or 3.3 percent, to $100.69 per barrel.
Over the past month, the price of Brent crude reached its highest level in six months, driven by concerns that the conflict between the U.S. and Iran could escalate once again following tomorrow’s Congressional elections.
