Old Town Fairy Tale Holiday Market opens in Sarajevo

The Old Town Fairy Tale holiday market was officially opened last night on Sarajevo’s Trg Fra Grga Martić.

The unique Advent festival in the municipality of Stari Grad, which is held in three locations – in front of the Cathedral, in the part of Frarhadija Street and Trg Oslobođenja – Alija Izetbregović, will last until January 10 of the following year.

Sarajevo residents and numerous tourists who will be staying in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the New Year holidays. in the city, they will be able to enjoy delicious food, shopping for New Year’s props and toys, evening concerts, and sports activities at the outdoor ice rink.

The mayor of Sarajevo, Predrag Puharić, said that Sarajevo really looks like a fairy tale these days, both in Stari Grad and other municipalities.

“I invite citizens to beautify all our locations with their presence and enjoy the fairy tale that Sarajevo offers. Invite friends, relatives, tourists so that in the next month we can all be in a nice festive mood and welcome the New Year together here with our New Year’s program. I hope that “We will not disappoint you,” said Puharić.

The Mayor of the Stari Grad Municipality, Irfan Čengić, emphasizes that the goal of organizing such an event is to bring tourists closer to everything that Sarajevo has to offer.

“I believe that this will be a new attraction, both for adults and children in Alija Izetbegović Square, where we have ensured free skating for the next month. I hope that visitors will enjoy the next 30 days,” said Čengić, Fena writes.
