jahorina-stazaActivities for the second day of the Olympic Sports weekend began on Jahorina, which is organized by the B&H Olympic Committee (OKBiH) as part of the project ‘OlympicFamily-Celebrating Olympics’.

The central event will be the symbol lighting of the Olympic flame and the public escort of members of the B&H team to the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Members of the B&H Olympic Team are: Žana Novaković, Igor Laikert, Marko Rudić, Tanja Karišik and Mladen Plakalović.

Visitors will get the chance to meet with members of the B&H Olympic team, the head of OKBiH and promoters of the European Olympic Youth Festival, which will be held in 2017 in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. Due to adverse weather conditions, Fena said that the race with participants that include Ambassadors, businesspeople and public figures is canceled.

The goal of the project ‘Olympic Family-Celebrating Olympics’ is to mark the 30 years of the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo and the official beginning of preparations for the organization of EYOF.
