In a fire in a family house in Zvornik, one person was killed and two others were injured, said Slaviša Milić, head of the Professional Fire Department Service of the city of Zvornik.

Milić added that this service was notified at 2:32 a.m. that a fire broke out in one of the family houses in the Ulice neighborhood.

He said that two vehicles and four firefighters came to the scene and found the ground floor of the house on fire and immediately started extinguishing the fire.

“Entering the corridor, they found a woman in an unconscious state, while going around other rooms, they found two men, one of whom, unfortunately, was already dead,” said Milić.

He added that the injured persons were urgently transported to the Zvornik Health Center.

In the Emergency Department of the Health Center in Zvornik, journalists were told that one person was dying, and two were referred to the Zvornik Hospital.

It was confirmed at the Hospital that around 3:20 am two patients were admitted, who were diagnosed with second degree burns, as well as carbon monoxide inhalation.

The patients were treated in the intensive care unit and their health condition will be monitored in the coming period, the Zvornica Hospital said.
