At the Epidemiological Department of the University Clinical Hospital (SKB) Mostar, 52-year-old I.M. died on Monday evening, according to the Avaz news portal.

This is the first person infected with the coronavirus in Canton 10, who has been receiving treatment at the Covid Hospital in Mostar since April 4, 2020.

The deceased was an employee of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herezegovina with a place of work in Banja Luka, and according to information from the Crisis Staff regarding the medical history, difficulties in his recovery were created by certain chronic diseases, which is why he was connected to a respirator for a long time.

This is the second death of a person infected with coronavirus in Canton 10, and the first victim of the epidemic was an 83-year-old man from the Livno area who died on April 11.

In the area of this canton, 41 positive cases have been confirmed, of which 21 are still active, while 19 people are being treated.
