Serbian Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that Interpol Zagreb informed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia that Milovan Zdravković, who is suspected of participating in the murders of members of the rival Škaljar clan, was arrested based on a Serbian international warrant.

As reported by the Serbian MUP, Zdravković (45) was arrested today on a warrant issued by the High Court in Belgrade for the criminal offenses of drug trafficking, association to commit criminal offenses and aggravated murder.

“Milovan Zdravković is a high-ranking member of the organized criminal group Kavači, and he made all decisions related to the execution of criminal acts of this group together with Radoj Zvicer and several other prominent members,” says Dačić, as reported by N1.

Milovan Zdravković, born in Belgrade, is suspected in Serbia of having participated in the planning and preparation of the murder of Stevan Stamatović and Igor Dedović, who were killed on January 19, 2020, in Athens. He is suspected of having prepared and planned the murders of Alan Kožar and Damir Hadžić, who were killed on July 23 of the same year on the Greek island of Corfu.

“Milovan Zdravković’s role was reflected in the financing of logistics, payments for renting apartments, hiring people for observation, as well as the procurement and transportation of weapons for the commission of a criminal offense. Also, Milovan Zdravković, together with other members of the criminal group Kavači, bought the narcotic drug cocaine from South America in in larger quantities, which was further transported and distributed in Europe. Milovan Zdravković is, according to operational knowledge, the godfather of Radoje Zvicer,” said Dačić.

Zvicer is one of the most influential people of the Balkan underworld and the head of the Kavcki clan. He was linked to numerous murders, drug sales and other crimes.

Zvicer was also associated with the murder of Montenegrin Goran Vlaović, who was executed in Zrce by a shot in the back of the head from close range. The Swiss reportedly paid 50,000 euros for the murder, Kurir reports.

There have been several assassination attempts on the Swiss. In 2020, they tried to kill him while he went jogging in the middle of the day near his apartment in Kyiv. He has been on the run since February 2021, when members of Veljko Belivuk’s group were arrested in Belgrade. In 2022, news emerged that he was killed in Panama in a rented villa, but that news turned out to be false.
