In the conflict between migrants in Bihać, one person was killed, and the search for the perpetrator is ongoing, it was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton (USK).

Although the number of migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina is much lower than in previous years, accidents involving them are becoming more frequent. After Sarajevo, yesterday a tragic case was also recorded in Bihać, near the Borići Temporary Center, which is a refuge for more than a hundred of them.

According to a report from the police, the conflict between several people took place yesterday at 18:25 on the city promenade in Borići, in the immediate vicinity of the migrant camp where people from the group of vulnerable people, women, children and teenagers are housed.

“The police patrol was informed about everything by the citizens, and upon arrival the police found three migrants, two of them sixteen and one twenty-two, who were standing over the fourth person, a seventeen-year-old, born in Syria, who was lying on the ground,” said the spokesperson of the MUP of USK Adnan Beganović.

He added that this person had stab wounds inflicted with a knife in the chest and was then transported by ambulance to the Cantonal Hospital, but later died due to the severity of the injuries.

Beganović said that operational work led to the discovery of the identity of the person who committed the murder, and that strong police forces were involved in the search.

According to him, the USK Prosecutor’s Office has been informed about everything and the investigation into the perpetrator of the murder and the case with which the murder was committed is ongoing, Srna writes.
