otvoreni_uniThe premises of SARTR will be turned into the Open University from 6 to 8 December. Open University begins on 6 December at 16:00 with a workshop for youth, and will be officially opened at 19:00 with a roundtable dedicated to the current crisis of the EU.

Sarajevo and B&H lacks events that are for a wider audience that deals with the most relevant social, political and economic topics in the modern world and that would examine the impact of global trends on the situation in the region and in the country.

Open University is a place where local, regional and world experts, philosophers and writers, university professors, journalists and activists will gather with the goal to raise public dialogue for universities and for universal education that would be open to the wider public.

Participants at the first Open University in Sarajevo are Gil Anidjar, Boris Buden, Mitja Velikonja, Asim Mujkić, Jasmina Husanović, Nermina Mujagić, Zilka Spahić-Šiljak, Srećko Horvat, Brano Jakubović, Zlatan Delić, Selma Spahić, Emir Imamović, Srđan Puhalo, Dino Abazović, Igor Štiks, Ivan Ergić and Nidžara Ahmetašević.

Entrance to all lectures at the Open University is free, and all events will be available on an online platform of partner organizations.
