AL SHIDDIAl Shiddi Group, in cooperation with one of the largest hotel companies in the world AccorHotels, announced the official opening of the Swissotel in Sarajevo City Center yesterday in Sarajevo City Hall.

“In partnership with Accorhotels, we are happy to introduce Swissôtel, the top chain of luxury hotels. This hotel will make the city of Sarajevo even more attractive to numerous tourists and guests from all around the world. With the new brand and joint performance, our aim is to position BiH as a destination of special, fascinating and luxury tourism,” said Sulaiman Al-Shiddi, owner of the Al Shiddi Group.

“Our entry into the market of BiH represents an exciting addition to our brand, which we want to further develop through the network of hotels in the territory of Balkans and Eastern Europe. I believe that the quality of our services and a unique experience that we are offering in our hotels will be recognized by all citizens of this country, as well as many guests who are visiting this beautiful city. Swissôtel is planning to offer a new level of contents and give the opportunity to Sarajevo to offer hotel accommodation in all categories,” noted François Baudin, Senior Vice President for Development of Luxury Hotels for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for AccorHotels.

Swissotel is a global luxury hotel chain with 5 + stars that will position BiH as a new elite tourist destination, and the opening of the hotel is expected in early 2018.

The hotel was planned as an open space with an authentic design that will combine elements of BH tradition and simplicity and sophistication of the Swiss model of interior design.

With this investment will be provided 200 direct and 400 indirect workplaces, and it will create new sources of tax revenue for the development of Canton Sarajevo and its infrastructure.

Besides Swissotel project, the Al Shiddi Group also signed a franchise agreement with Novotel, the international brand of Accor hotels, which will be joined by Hotel Bristol Sarajevo.
