The 3rd International Competition in Jumps from the waterfall in Jajce will be held on Saturday, the 6th of August, under the general auspices of the Municipality of Jajce.
Competition in jumps from Pliva waterfall will start at 4:00 pm. This year’s participants are coming from BiH, Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, Croatian, Italy, Serbia and Kosovo, which gives an international character and unique charm to this competition. Competition will be held in two disciplines: traditional (18 competitors) and freestyle (13 competitors).
Nine-time world champion in jumping from height, Colombian Orlando Duque, confirmed his participation on the 3rd International competition in jumps. He arrived in the capital of BiH on Wednesday evening. He said that he is always looking forward to visit our country.
“Everybody knows my feelings towards BiH. Without any flattery, I am looking forward to visit your country. I agreed to participate as soon as I got the invitation. I saw that the city of Jajce is beautiful, that the waterfall is in the center of the city. It gives a special charm to the city. I will jump for show and I hope the audience will enjoy,” said Duque who will jump after the first round.
The waterfall is 20 meters high, and the depth is between 3 and 4 meters. Title of the best jumper on two occasions went to Lorens Listo from Mostar. Large audience, the hosts and guests, will have the opportunity to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of the waterfall and the jumps.
