The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, yesterday called on political parties to “find common ground” and reach an agreement on forming the Government of Kosovo. In a statement to the media, she said that the process of constituting the Assembly has already been completed and that the current prime minister has been given the mandate in accordance with constitutional procedures.
Osmani said that she does not want to interfere in the process of forming the Government and that the parties participating in the negotiations are responsible for that.
“As president, I cannot interfere and I do not know how far the negotiations have reached (…); The sooner we have a Government with a constitutional mandate, the sooner we will be able to advance reforms, adopt a comprehensive budget, and make other decisions that the Government needs to implement,” she added.
