“Our blood is all the same”: Action of Youth from Ethnically Divided B&H Municipalities

Yesterday, on the 16th of November, the world marked the International Day for Tolerance, and on this occasion several B&H Municipalities organized action of voluntary blood donation.

Voluntary blood donation actions were organized in Bratunac, Istocno Novo Sarajevo, Maglaj, Doboj, Prijedor, Gorazde and Mostar.

Action named “Everyone’s blood is the same,” was organized by the youth activists from 30 municipalities where the project PRO-Future US Agency for International Development USAID is realized and implemented by the Catholic Relief Services in cooperation with the Foundation Mosaic, Caritas BK BH, the Forum of Citizens of Tuzla, Helsinki Assembly of Citizens from Banja Luka and the Interreligious Council in B&H.

The aim of the project PRO-Future, as stated by the USAID, is to contribute to building of trust among all citizens of B&H. This 4-year project will engage more than 100,000 citizens from 30 targeted municipalities that were divided along ethnic lines since the war.
