Diving club ‘Bosna’ on Sunday, May 29th, 2022, on Boracko Lake, with the support of the City of Konjic, conducted the 10th ‘Eco Action’, during which the underwater part of the lake and the coast were cleaned.

This year’s action was attended by 30 divers and 15 volunteers, who on this occasion collected about 300 kg of garbage, from glass, and plastic to car tires.

”Diving club ‘Bosna’ has been continuously cleaning Boracko Lake for a decade and this pearl of nature is receiving an enviable level of quality and purity of water and coastline, which enable true enjoyment and recreation. This can really be achieved through permanent work, but visitors also need to take more care of the environment and dispose of garbage in designated areas,” said the president of the Diving Club Hrvoje Gavrancic.

He emphasized that their divers will continue, at least once a year, to carry out similar activities with the aim of preserving Boracko Lake and its natural values.

After the cleaning action, the City of Konjic thanked the Diving Club ‘Bosna’ for the successful cooperation and activities carried out on Boracko Lake, announcing support in the coming years, Klix.ba writes.
