mural2Within the Street Art Festival (FUU) in the capital of BiH was painted mural to famous Bosnian writer Karim Zaimovic. Furthermore, within the festival was held theatrical performance “Veliki orkestar”.

Mural for famous BH artist was painted at Musala Street across from FIS. As previously stated by the authors of the mural, painting of the walls has become a trend in urban centers. They said that it is one of the ways to get art closer to the public and thus out of closed spaces such as galleries and museums.

About the importance of Karim Zaimovic, who is also known as the author of the book “Tajna dzema od malina (the Secret of raspberry jam)”, we could say a lot. Authors of mural, Boris Stapic and Aleksandar Sasa Brezar, emphasized that he was a person who existed in the difficult period that is behind us, i.e. the war period.

“At that time, he was the best of Sarajevo, and thus his importance is great, especially when given the fact that he was someone who allowed us to dream some better dreams during the war,” said Brezar.

One of the aims of the Street Art Festival is for Radiceva Street to become the main place of artistic events this year.
