The Ambassador of BiH to Pakistan Nedim Makarević visited last week the largest industrial centers of Pakistan and chambers of commerce of the cities Gujrat, Gujranwala and Faisalabad, where he spoke about opportunities for Pakistani investments in BiH.
These three cities, together with the city of Sialkot in the Pakistani province of Penjab, represent the backbone of the Pakistani industry and the stronghold of the Pakistani economy, together with the city of Karachi.
“The aim was to primarily inform the Pakistani business community about what BiH offers and bring the idea of investing in BiH closer to them,” Makarević said.
In his presentations, Makarević primarily informed the chambers of commerce and certain leading companies whose production plants he visited about BiH, its basic data, about where the opportunities for investment in BiH exist if Pakistan opts for that, and invited them to the forthcoming Sarajevo Business Forum which is to be held on May 4 and 5 this year.
Makarević also spoke about the preliminary design of the Sarajevo Business Forum, about the need for stronger cooperation on economic level, and gave a report on all previous successful and important Pakistani-Bosnian projects related to business highlighting that, although significant progress has been made, a lot more can be done.
