The Mauboussin jewelry store inside the Printemps-Nation department store in Paris was robbed during the night between Monday and Tuesday, with 300.000 euros worth of jewelry stolen, according to police sources.

“The damage was initially estimated at 500.000 euros before being revised to 300.000 euros,” said a source close to the case.

On the morning of December 24th, a security guard noticed that a store window had been smashed while taking over his shift.

Surveillance cameras captured an unidentified man entering the store to steal jewelry from the Mauboussin jewelry store before quickly leaving the premises.

The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation, which has been entrusted to the judicial police.
