Parliament of BiH: Members of Comission for Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives met with the delegation of Bundestag

Chairman Mirza Kušljugić and chairman of Comission for Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of BiH Parliament Mladen Ivanković-Lijanović met with the delegation of German Bundestag.

German delegation included vice-president of the Friendship Group for BiH Josip Juratović, member of the Group for Security and Defence Policy Axel Schneider and member of the Defence Commission of Bundestag Rainer Arnold.

They talked about the economic situation in BiH with emphasis on adopting and implementing development strategies.

Members of the Commission introduced the guests that on the level of BiH no development strategy has been adopted, because of the lack of political will, and because it’s the competence of FBiH and RS.

They noted that transport and energy projects in BiH are the most important projects in the period to come, but those projects must be dealt with on the regional level.

They said that the process of European integration will force BiH to start many projects so it wouldn’t lag behind its neighbours.

Kušljugić and Ivanković-Lijanović said that BiH must secure good condition for the export of goods of animal and plant origin in the EU, as well as the development of SMEs, and to make additional effort on strenghtening the local community.

They also talked about the construction status of Corridor 5C in BiH, and the degree of cooperation of CEFTA member countries.
