The BiH Parliamentary Military Commissioner Boško Šiljegović spoke with the Military Attache to BiH Brigadier Jozef Murk from Slovenia, Božo Vukasović from Croatia and Predrag Mićić from Serbia.
Šiljegović spoke to them about the efforts made so far and for the help to the Office of Parliamentary Military Commissioner in protecting human rights and freedoms of military people and cadets in the Defense Ministry and BiH Armed Forces, and for strengthening the accountability of persons responsible in implementing legislation regulating the protection of rights and duties of military personnel and cadets.
The Military Attache commended the quality work of the Department, with a specific emphasis on the successful cooperation with the Defense Ministry of BiH, the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces and the Head Inspector of the BiH Defense Ministry, and the military-diplomatic corps in BiH.
They also exchanged opinions regarding the forthcoming regional conference for the presentation of good practices in protecting human rights and freedoms to members of the Armed Forces of participating countries. Representatives from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia will attend the conference.
The Military Attaches gave their full support to its maintenance, and expressed hope that through conducting many discussions, bringing specific recommendations and conclusions will result in increasing the protection of human rights and freedom of members of the Armed Forces to a higher level.
