More than 6.000 participants of the Peace March, over 100 kilometers long, arrived yesterday at Liplje Camp. This march is part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica and the surrounding area.

Among the participants are survivors who walked this path in 1995 to save their lives, their descendants, as well as the descendants of those who did not manage to reach free territory.

Yesterday, participants arrived at Liplje Camp.

The column moves along the route Nezuk – Baljkovica – Parlog – Crni Vrh – Snagovo – Liplje – Josanica – Donja Kamenica – Bakrace – Glode – Udrc – Cerska – Kaldrmica – Djugum – Mravinjci – Burnice – Kamenicko Brdo – Ravni Buljim – Jaglici – Susnjari – Budak, ending in Potocari.

Daily sections of 25 to 30 kilometers pass through mountainous terrain and forest paths, often at sites of mass graves and executions.

Returnee villages along the route welcome participants with hospitality.

At certain points of the column, brief history lessons and testimonies of survivors are held.

The march is scheduled to conclude on July 10th in Potocari, where participants will attend the commemoration and collective funeral for newly identified victims of the genocide.
