Third BH pride parade was held today in Sarajevo in a positive atmosphere, but with strong security forces.

Many parents decided to take a walk with their children this time, considering that #Family Gathering is this year’s wish and motto of the participants of the gathering.

It was the family that was the focus of Pride Month in 2022, first at the Quirkhan Festival and then at today’s Pride Parade. A walk from the Eternal Flame to the museum in Sarajevo was held, and the participants shouted as the main message – “We are a family”.

In addition, they said that “Their love is not a sin” and “Love is not a privilege”, and as in previous years, they demand that the law recognize them and be equal with other BiH citizens.

They also passed on most of their demands and needs to the banners that usually adorn every LGBTIQ + community protest.

Although the morning was marked by various homophobic messages on social networks due to today’s gathering, encouraged in part by the political views of certain politicians and parties, everything passed without a single incident.

Members of the LGBTIQ + population face threats on a daily basis, and on the day when they want to point out this problem precisely in order to be more visible and safer in society, homophobia is especially pronounced.

After a walk from the Eternal Flame to the museums in Sarajevo, a program was held on the plateau in front of the Historical and National Museum, where certain individuals addressed, but also sang and rejoiced, Klix.ba writes.
