The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) will, as it has announced, submit an appeal to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina through authorized proponents on changes to the Criminal Code of the RS entity, which criminalizes and prohibits the symbols of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The appeal was already prepared earlier, given that it was expected that the Constitutional Court of the RS, as an obedient part of Dodik’s regime, would reject the request of the Bosniak Club to protect the vital national interest. It will be sent to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately after the decision of the Constitutional Court of the RS is published in the Official Gazette, announced the SDA.
“Any ban on the symbol of the honorable Army of the RBiH, which was the only legal armed force of the internationally recognized state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, would represent a violation of the Constitution of BiH, i.e. the constitutional continuity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to implementing systematic apartheid against Bosniaks and Croats in the RS entity, Dodik’s regime also wants to change historical facts by passing unconstitutional laws. They are trying to turn the victim into an aggressor, and vice versa. Such attempts will not succeed, because historical facts are immutable and inexorable,” SDA points out.
“Apart from the constitutional and legal, there is not the slightest moral reason to challenge the symbols of the RBiH Army in any way. The RBiH Army is one of the most honorable armed forces that ever existed. Its military and political leadership have not been convicted of joint criminal enterprise, genocide and crimes against humanity.
On the contrary, for these crimes, parts of the so-called The RS Army and the RS Police, as well as the entire political leadership led by Radovan Karadžić. Their political followers, led by Dodik, cannot change or question these facts in any way,” the statement states.
