Coppersmith Paso Bajramovic from Kakanj dedicated his life to making articles of copper. He inherited this craft from his parents, and by creating exhibit of the Old Bridge made of copper, he moved the border of what he likes to do.
Fifty year old Paso Bajramovic from Kakanj is making articles of copper since his childhood and this craft passed in his family from generation to generation.
Bajramovic said that he makes copper objects that are part of the tradition of BiH with great dose of love.
“It takes a lot of time to make only one coffee pot that are rarely seen in our houses these days. Today, mostly older people are interested in copper traditions. However, we are losing the tradition, and our young people are increasingly drinking coffee in the cafes from the coffee machines, and not from coffee pots and cups,” said Bajramovic.
He makes all kinds of objects of copper in his home workshop, which are intended for decoration or for everyday use. He made an exhibit of the Old Bridge made of copper, which he exhibits at fairs throughout BiH.
“I planned to make an exhibit of the Old Bridge for a long period of time and I needed almost a month and a half to make it. I have dedicated most of the attention to harbor of the bridge and everything turned out well,” said Bajramovic.
His craft will inherit his children who are attending schools, and he is planning to make an exhibit of Bey’s Mosque in Sarajevo as well.
