Members of the Joint Collegium of both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) spoke today with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, who is on a two-day visit to our country.
During the conversation, it was jointly assessed that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic are friendly and without open issues, and this was also an opportunity for the members of the Joint Collegium to thank the distinguished guest for everything that the Czech Republic does for BiH, and especially for supporting our path towards full membership in the European Union.
“If the Balkans remain in a gray zone, only those who want unrest in Europe will benefit from it”
President Pavel emphasized his country’s commitment to EU enlargement because, as he added, leaving the Western Balkan countries outside the European Union will not help anyone.
At the same time, he offered the wholehearted assistance of the Czech Republic as a country that has passed the path to the EU, implemented numerous reforms and learned many useful lessons, and, he added, is very willing to share them with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Pavel: The Czechs see BiH as a friendly country full of potential for cooperation
During today’s conversation, satisfaction was expressed that a significant number of Czech businessmen arrived in our country with President Pavel, who will discuss the possibilities of expanding economic cooperation with Bosnian and Herzegovinian businessmen within the framework of an open business forum, for which, it was assessed, there are very good opportunities, the Public Relations Department of the BiH Parliament announced.
