Payment of old foreign Currency Savings from Ljubljanska Banka by the end of the Year?

Ljubljanska banka vecernji.hrPresident of the Civil Association for the return of the old foreign currency savings in BiH and diaspora Svetozar Nišić believes that the payment of the old foreign currency savings of Ljubljanska Banka will begin in September.

“The paperwork was finally solved in Sarajevo and I am convinced that the payment of the old foreign currency savings from Ljubljanska Banka will begin in September and hopefully all the money will be paid by the end of the year,” Nišić said.

Nišić stated that the payment of the old foreign currency savings will follow an order, thus those who submitted their requests first will be paid first.

Milan Jovičić from the Civil Association of old foreign currency savings of Republika Srpska said that he does not believe that Ljubljanska Banka will fulfill the given promise to start paying old foreign currency savings in BiH in September.

Jovičić claims that the Council of Ministers of BiH want the payment of old foreign currency savings to be executed with their mediation, while the old foreign currency savers in BiH want the payments to go straight to the savers’ accounts, just like they paid the money to the bank.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić earlier announced that the payment of the old foreign currency savings to the clients of Ljubljanska Banka should begin in autumn.

Around 250 million EUR with interests from Ljubljanska Banka should be paid to accounts of several thousand savers in BiH during this and the next year.
