protesti_17.3The peaceful gathering of the citizens of Sarajevo Canton is scheduled for today in order to express their dissatisfaction with the work of the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo and its relationship to the demands of the Plenum of the citizens of Canton Sarajevo.

The gathering will take place in front of the entrance of the building of the City Administration of the City of Sarajevo and will last until noon, announced the Plenum of the Citizens of Sarajevo.

Citizens have peacefully gathered on the streets of Sarajevo, in the area where authorities of the Canton of Sarajevo are located, and there have been nine Plenums held so far. They are doing this in order to show their vexation with the current social and economic situation of the majority of inhabitants of the FB&H.

In order to solve the accumulated problems, citizens formulated demands that are regular and based on orderly protocol were sent to the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo and expected a response. Given that the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo has so far not responded to any demand from the Plenum for solving the social status of affected populations, citizens of Canton Sarajevo wish to demonstrate their contempt with the failure of the Assembly to address issues that impact impoverished and disenfranchised people.

A demand was sent to the Assembly of Canton Sarajevo for the right to the free use of Dom Mladih so that the Plenum could continue to be held with the achieved assurance measures until now.

They emphasize that the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton did not even respond to this demand, and because of this, citizens wish to express their dissatisfaction with the work of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and its relationship towards the demands through a peaceful gathering.
