Peaceful Walk Hijab klix.baAssociations of youth and women of the Majlis of Islamic Community Goražde organized a peaceful walk as a sign of disagreement with the decision of High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV) on the prohibition of wearing religious features in judicial institutions.

Apart from that decision, a reason for the peaceful walk was also the World Hijab Day. The peaceful walk as a sign of support for hijab was held from the Trg branilaca grada to the Islamic cultural-educational center in Goražde.

“This decision by the VSVT violates the fundamental human rights and freedoms,” stated the participants of the peaceful walk in Goražde.

In this way, Goražde joined numerous cities that organized peaceful walks.

Besides this, the Association of youth also organized a lecture last night at the Islamic cultural center on the topic “Hijab and its importance in the life of a Muslimah”. The lecturer was the professor of Islamic Religious Education Melisa Kurtić.
