Pensioners in Tuzla demand increased Pensions and better Social Protection

Pensioners in Tuzla held a protest in the city center today demanding an increase in pensions and an improvement in their social status, pointing to the difficult position they are in.

Demanding an increase in pensions in line with wage growth, because pensions are not enough to cover the most basic living expenses, the pensioners stated that they will continue to pressure the competent institutions until they achieve higher pensions and better social protection.

At the protest, the pensioners carried banners reading “Tuzla will not stop”, “Whoever does not want to fight has no right to complain”, “Disgrace and shame, monthly salary increases for the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by 1,000 BAM, for workers by 400, and for pensioners by 25 BAM”, and similar.

The protest was peaceful.
