The BiH Council of Ministers has adopted a set of measures with the goal to accelerate the activities to solve the consequences that BiH will have after Croatia’s accession to the EU. The Head of the EU Delegation to BIH, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, attended the meeting.
Ambassador Sorensen said that in the previous period, much progress has been made in fulfilling the requirements of the Action Plan for overcoming the consequences of Croatia’s accession to the EU. He called on the BiH government to exert further efforts in order to fulfill the remaining conditions, especially in the agriculture sector and border and inspection controls.
‘’We are here to help you, but the BiH government has to finish the job and allow BiH to be fully prepared to adopt EU standards so that it is ready by 1st July, when Croatia will enter the EU’’, said Sorensen.
