Pezer qualified for the Finals

Mesud Pezer won the gold medal (1)Mesud Pezer, Bosnian athlete, will qualify for the finals in the shot put at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Belgrade.

On the qualifications in Kombank Belgrade Arena 23 competitors participated, and Pezer finished on the 7th place.

Pezer’s personal record is 20.37 meters in the hall, and in Belgrade his first shot put was 19.78 meters, while the third was 20.13 and with that result he qualified for the finals which is scheduled for tonight at 19:20 o’clock.

Top six competitors who threw above 20.5 meters were automatically qualified for the finals.

These are David Storl (21.16), Konrad Bukowiecki (21.06), Tomas Stanek (20.94), Ladislav Prasil (20.68), Canko Arnaudov (20,52) and Stipe Zunic (20,52).

Among them, Pezer and Mikhail Abramcuk also entered the finals due to the best results. Asmir Kolašinac, one of the favorites of the competition, missed three centimeters for entering the finals (19.96).
