Why this Photo from Mostar became Hit on Social Networks?

photoMostar was the center of attention last weekend, and the jumps from the Old Bridge in the context of the World Cup Red Bull Cliff Diving were reported by international media as well. However, it was not the only positive news from Mostar last weekend.

This is the photo that was taken in Mostar, where three young girls hugged wrapped in flags of three countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia.

The reason for making the photo, we assume, was Red Bull Cliff Diving competition, an event that gathered many local people and tourists in the city on Neretva River. The photo “collected” more than 9,000 “likes” on Facebook in a short period of time and caused mostly positive comments on social networks.

Everyone agreed on one thing: whatever the occasion was, it’s nice to see that tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of different cannot be “destroyed” by nationalism and intolerance.
