On the “Jugonostalgija” Instagram page, photos were published that show what an average living room looked like in the 80s.
Bulky armchairs and three-seater sofas in neutral colors, wall-to-wall carpets, racks that completely cover the walls with old televisions and radios – these are images that are etched in the memory of the older generations, and were a part of almost every home during the 1970s and 1980s in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
“Average living rooms of Yugoslavs during the 1980s,” is stated in the description of the photos.
In the photos, you can also see an old typewriter, a chessboard, and sets of dishes in the glass part of the shelf.
Another indispensable characteristic of homes in this period was wallpaper with various prints on the walls.
The photo awakened nostalgia in many people, and in the comments, they wrote that they had never found more comfortable furniture and that it looked like a time machine, and some still have such pieces of furniture, Klix.ba writes.
