b_161026052According to the Doing Business Report prepared by the World Bank Group, BiH is 81st out of 190 countries, while the countries in the region of Europe and Central Asia are among the most successful in improvement.

Out of 57 reforms, all but one of the 25 countries in the region have implemented business reforms over the last year; it was stated in the Report for 2017 published yesterday.

The best ranked country in the region is Macedonia with the global rank of 10 and thanks to the previously implemented reforms an entrepreneur in this country now needs only two days to start a business, which is significantly less than the regional average of ten days.

During last year, countries from the region implemented the most reforms globally, in the fields of tax payment – thirteen reforms, obtaining an electricity connection – eight and protection of minor investors – seven.

In general, countries of the region have a good performance in the field of protection of minor investors and in the field of property registration. In the countries of the region it takes 21 days to register the transfer of property rights, and on global level it takes 51 days to complete the same action.
