A plane from The Hague carrying the coffin containing the body of Ratko Mladić, convicted of genocide in Srebrenica, has landed at the airport in Belgrade.
The coffin with the body should be transported to the Military Medical Academy /VMA/, at the request of the family.
According to Srna, the commemoration should be held on Saturday, September 5, at 12:00 at the Army Hall in Belgrade.
Belgrade media reports that the funeral should be held on Monday, September 7, at the Topčider Cemetery.
War criminal Ratko Mladić died in prison on August 27 at the age of 85.
Mladić was the commander of the Army of Republika Srpska during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague has finally sentenced him to life imprisonment for genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the laws and customs of war committed during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
