sartr1On 23 May, Thursday, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see once again a play directed by Pjer Žalica called ‘Happy End’.

The play is written by a group of authors within the workshop of the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. The story behind this drama was created based on different fairy tales. Through fairy tales, the authors tried to tackle important issues concerning the society we live in.

The title of the play is ironic because “Happy End” is in fact a display of cruel world of totalitarianism.  Nevertheless, the play does have some fairy tale elements in order achieve a good- evil parallel, where the good side wins against the evil side.

The cast of the play:  Selma Alispahić, Vedran Đekić, Emir Z. Kapetanović, Sead Pandur, Jasenko Pašić, Adi Hrustemović, Adin Avdagić, Amila Terzimehić, Snježana Alič, Maja Salkić and Mirela Lambić.

The play will be shown in Sarajevo War Theatre at 8 p.m.
