On 31 May, youngest citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see the play ‘ Little Red Polka Dotty and the Forest Gang’ which will be shown in Sarajevo Youth Theatre at 7 p.m.
Author of the play is Aida Pilav, director Lejla Kaikčija, cast: Elma Ahmetović, Mario Drmać, Damir Kustura, Sanin Milavić, Mirza Tanović.
The play talks abuttOne dull afternoon, when four friends, Elma, Mario, Sanin and Damir, decided to play out the story of the Little Red Riding Hood in the attic of Mario’s apartment. The story begins with Little Red Polka Dotty (named so on account of her white-dotted hood), who, since none of her friends wanted to play with her outdoors, went off to find new friends in the Enchanted Forest – Pinocchio, the three piglets, Hansel and Gretel. They teach her how to play interesting games, games forgotten today, games kids used to play a long time ago, at a time before computers. In the game, Little Red Polka Dotty discovers the plan of the Wolf and the Evil Witch to steal her grandmother’s winter groceries. She and all her friends from the Enchanted Forest then decide to pull together and use tricks from the magical games in order to stop the Wolf and the Evil Witch – and they succeed. In the end, Mario, Elma, Sanin and Damir decide to play out a different fairy tale each day at Mario’s house, having discovered that it is much more interesting to play together than to play on a computer.
