The most visited architectural portal ArchDaily made a list of the most unbelievable unknown buildings in the world, in which the Old Bridge in Mostar was included.

This criteria for the list consist of a combination of the magnificence, size and historical importance of the buildings, while the special criterion was that the buildings are not too familiar outside the countries in which they are located.

The Old Bridge in Mostar is one of the first buildings on this list, as one of the most beautiful Eastern European constructions.

“Another trend in ‘forgotten architecture’ is the construction of Eastern Europe, whose history was heavily influenced by the socialist regimes. There is an interesting history of the Old Bridge. It was destroyed in 1993 by Croat forces during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was rebuilt in 2004,“ it says in the description of the Old Bridge on the portal ArchDaily.

In addition to the Old Bridge, this list also includes the Indian temple Chand Baori, the Romanian Parliament building, Choquequirao, the other Machu Picchu, the Taj of the Decan or the poor Taj Mahal, and the Great Indian Wall in Kumbhalgarh.
