Daily temperatures in recent days are exceeding 37 °C on almost the entire territory of BiH, and especially warm is Mostar, which is known as one of the hottest cities in Europe.
The citizens of Mostar who stayed in the city on Neretva River this weekend are not coming out of their homes because of the great heat, so many streets in the city are completely empty.
Popular Brace Fejic Street, Square Musala and the promenade of Nikola Subic Zrinski, yesterdays were left without walkers, and there was no children in the big city park.
In the old part of the city is different, the high temperature does not bother numerous tourists who made their way to Mostar to take pictures on the stone beauty and bring the memory of the largest city of Herzegovina. Most tourists are coming from eastern countries, as well as from Italy, Germany, Poland…
During the tropical heat, part of the citizens of Mostar found their refreshment at the city pool or at the traditional bathing area of Buna, around 10 kilometers south from the city.
Unfortunately, there are very few bathers on Neretva River in recent years because of the pollution. By setting the collector whose completion is expected next year, many of the citizens of Mostar are hoping for this situation to change and for the river bank to be as full as it used to be.
