radnja na uglu001“For me, this play presents a beautiful and lovely image of Eastern Europe before WWII. It shows a time when people had manners, respected themselves and others, respected the languages they spoke, their own languages and other languages. Back then, ideas, people, nations, the group meant something. After 1945, the social, ethical and artistic characteristics of an individual changed, and politics and cynicism appeared. What I wanted to show in this play first is that if the world survived before, then it is also possible now, but only if we focus on a few rules, principles, such as respecting others and those who are different, solidarity, concert for languages. Actually I think this performance shows what Bosnians need now, and that is a quiet and humorous story, with lovely emotions and gentle feelings. This would give hope to people in this period of division”, said Director François Lunel, based on the text by Mikós László.

The actors in the play will be: Muhamed Hadžović, Dragan Jovičić, Amar Selimović, Senad Alihodžić, Boris Ler, Vanesa Glođo, Aida Bukva, Rade Čolović, Ravijojla Jovančić-Lešić and Nedim Džinović.

Vanja Popović did the scenery, and Amra Džinalija Karađuzović did the costumes.

The play will take place at Kamerni Theatre 55 on Friday, May 16 at 20:00.
