PM Forto: Workers at the COVID Department will receive financial Incentives

After a day without deaths caused by coronavirus was registered in the Canton Sarajevo (CS) after more than two months, Prime Minister Edin Forto praised the citizens for their discipline, but also promised financial incentives to the workers in the COVID department.

As Forto stated, the fact that a small number of newly infected people have been confirmed in Sarajevo compared to the previous period, and that there have been no deaths in the past 24 hours, is promising, but it does not mean that we should relax.

“It seems that we have overcome the crisis. That, of course, is not true. It will not be until we achieve collective immunity, which is only possible through mass immunization. Please do not relax and let’s continue to follow the measures! The epidemic has not passed. A new wave, like the one from the beginning of the year, is still on the way. Take care of yourself and your loved ones! ” Forto stated.

He especially thanked the workers in the COVID department stating that they had survived an unprecedented effort while defending citizens from the third pandemic wave.

“The government will provide these workers with financial incentives directly proportional to the number of days spent in Covid wards in the first three months of 2021. I expect incentives to be paid by the end of the month. While we are infinitely grateful for their work, stimulation just means recognizing the fact that individuals in the health sector need to be rewarded for particularly difficult working conditions. In the future, we would like to impose this as one of the basic criteria for rewarding healthcare workers, ” told Forto, Klix.ba writes.
