PM Konakovic speaks about the improvement of water supply system

prime minister Konakovic“Detection of the state of the water supply system is one of the most important projects in the mandate of this government. The quality done detection will show the pace and speed of reconstruction of water supply network, all illegal connections to the network, the state of the energy potential of the water distribution system”said the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković, on the first meeting organized at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering (HEIS).

On this occasion, it was stated that the Institute was chosen on the tender which was completed last year, and  the detection of the state of the water supply network should begin in practical terms.

Due to the seriousness of this project, the Government decided to appoint a supervisory team of several experts in this field with a mission to accelerate the procedure.

“This meeting has shown that the Government has made the right decision. It was observed that things could possibly go the other way, but fortunately it was successfully corrected due to the established good coordination between the HEIS and the supervisory authority of the Government and the Ministry of communal economy and infrastructure” said the Prime Minister Konaković. Moreover, he added that all the results of their joint work will be regularly reported.

This meeting was attended by the Minister of utility companies and infrastructure, Senad Hasanspahić, the Director of Water and Sewage, Nezir Hadzi,c and members who were recently appointed in an expert team.
