Deputies considered the Draft Budget of the FBiH for the next year, which was proposed by the Government in the total amount of 2.875.051.837 BAM. In comparison to this year, it was increased by a total of 127.4 million BAM.

Income from indirect taxes were increased by 5 % or 80.5 million BAM compared to this year’s budget, while income from the income taxes were increased by 10.6 million BAM, which resulted in an increase of total tax revenues in the amount of 91 million BAM.

Budget expenditures were increased by 158.6 million BAM, and PM Novalic stated that the emphasis will be put on restrictive budget policy and limitation of the increase of current consumption. Thus current expenditures were decreased by 16 million BAM.

The material costs that are required for the functioning of administration bodies of the FBiH have remained unaltered.

He also noted that the investments in the road infrastructure that were envisaged by the revision for the 2017 will be continued in the upcoming year as a bypass until the amendments to the Law on Excise Duties is adopted and thus the credit potential of the PE Highways of the FBiH is enabled, i.e. the implementation of already initiated credit arrangements with international financial institutions.

The amount of 183 million BAM is planned for this project, and these funds will be directed through the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the FBiH for the construction of roads and highways.

The continuation of activities that are focused at the increase of the employment in the FBiH will be realized through the Project of the Employment Support, which is funded by the World Bank in the amount of 12.7 million BAM.
