The Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Irfan Halilagić, presented the measures of the cantonal government for 2023 and the implementation plan at the press conference today.

When it comes to the year 2023, he said that they have defined ten measures and that they will elaborate and present them to the public so that they can be monitored in a transparent manner. It is about 20 specific measures, which, he says, is a step forward compared to last year when they had 18 measures that were implemented.

”We have the entire mandate ahead of us and we have decided to divide the implementation into quarters,” said Halilagić.

The first measure has already been implemented, and it concerns the abolition of the payment of health insurance premiums. And by the end of 2023, Halilagić stated the improvement of the status of the veteran population (harmonization of laws and the introduction of the right to subsistence allowance for the spouses of deceased veterans), a graduation gift for a successful end and a new beginning (a one-time financial aid to graduates to prepare for graduation), investment in science ( support for scientific research in the amount of one million BAM), anti-corruption office (creating and putting into operation a register of data on holders of public offices and property in TC), opening and commissioning of the Gate III facility – parking lot at MAT Tuzla, purchase land and design of the building of PU Živinica, purchase of the building and project documentation for PU Tuzla, Court in Lukavac (development of the main project), one-time cash assistance to pensioners 100 BAM, free textbooks for all primary school students, initiation of the procedure for the purchase of a mobile mammogram, initiation of the procedure for the arrangement of obstetrics clinics at JZU UKC Tuzla, opening of the Center for Autism, opening of the “Čestmir Dušek” Music School, preparation of the main project for the Government of the Republic of Turkey building, project documentation and design of the University of Tuzla campus, funds for the project documentation of the Emergency Center of UCC Tuzla, continuation of material – technical and personnel strengthening of the Police Administration and the continuation of activities on the payment of maternity benefits in the amount of 996 BAM.”

“We set the implementation of the measures in three quarters, i.e. the first hundred days, the deadline is June 30, the deadline for the next six measures is September 30, and the remaining planned measures until the end of the year. In this way, we consider it optimal. At each of the mentioned deadlines, we will announce the degree of implemented measures,” Prime Minister Halilagić concluded.
