Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sifet Podzic, with associates, talked today, via video link, with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper and her associates, and thanked them for their support and interest that she and her team have expressed and provided to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH.

Cooper once again expressed strong support for our country and the reform processes that are currently being implemented and was especially interested in the types and ways of cooperation with NATO.

In that sense, she emphasized the importance and role of the declared Light Infantry Combat Group, which in terms of training and equipment should be ready to join the contingency of NATO forces by 2023.

In her address, she also thanked our country for its contribution through participation in peace support operations within the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, where our members, along with members of the US Army, performed their tasks very bravely and professionally and contributed to the global security, stated the BiH Ministry of Defense.
