Bosnia and Herzegovina Minister of Defense Sifet Podzic and EUFOR Commander in BiH Alexander Platzer pointed out that the goal of the upcoming exercise “Quick Response 21” at the end of this month is to show that the BiH Armed Forces and EUFOR are ready to respond to all types of natural disasters and help civilian structures in such situations.

The opening ceremony of the exercise “Quick Answer 21” is on September 25 in the camp “Butmir”, while the exercise will take place from September 27 to 30.

Platzer informed Podzic and his delegation about the most important items related to the exercise, such as the scenario of the exercise, the participating countries and the number of troops, the BiH Ministry of Defense announced.

Podzic emphasized the importance of this exercise for BiH, with a special aspect on the exchange of knowledge, skills and interoperability of the BiH Armed Forces with EUFOR.

Podzic emphasized that security and natural threats are challenges that must be constantly worked on for the safety of citizens. The interlocutors agreed that the Armed Forces of BiH and EUFOR are the guarantor of a safe and stable environment.
